Book Repair Tape Water-Activated, Strong
Both the 1" and 2" tapes are used to hinge covers, reinforce pamphlets, repair covers and loose pages. They use a strong, acid-free linen fabric coated with neutral pH adhesive. While the repair is permanent the tape may be removed with mineral spirits if desired. Use 1' tape for attaching covers to signature. Use 2" tape for assembling cover blanks and general book repair. Both are gummed, water-activated.

Made from a strong, acid-free linen fabric coated with water-activated neutral pH adhesive. While the repair is permanent the tape may be removed with mineral spirits if desired. - To use water-activated book repair tape, follow these steps:
- 1. Prepare the surface: Ensure the surface is clean and dry.
- 2. Cut the tape: Measure and cut the tape to the desired length.
- 3. Activate the adhesive: Use a sponge to lightly wet the adhesive side of the tape.
- 4. Apply the tape: Place the wet tape onto the surface, pressing firmly to ensure proper adhesion. A bone folder is helpful for this application
- 5. Smooth out wrinkles: Smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles for a secure seal.
- 6. Allow drying time: Let the taped surface air dry for a few minutes to allow the adhesive to fully bond with the surface.
